About me

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been a therapist for 25 years. I worked for years doing crisis work, diagnostic assessments, and therapy for our county mental health system. I enjoyed working along First Responders, ER staff, and in the Forensic system in some of these assignments. Not only did I learn a lot from these other professionals but I gained so much respect for them as well. Now that I am in private practice, I enjoy being able to give back to  First Responders and their families. However, I love helping adults from all different backgrounds that  struggle with fear, trauma, anxiety, or burnout.

I am also a Christian and I enjoy being able to bring God in to our sessions when it is requested. Not only have I seen Gods miracles in my own life, but inside my office as well. I'm a firm believer that when God is involved, far more amazing things can happen.

I want to help you get better as fast as possible so that you can start enjoying your life again. My approach is to not only use my therapeutic skills but to also offer compassion, encouragement, education, humor and sometimes some straight shooting when needed. I'm also not easily offended by some of the dark humor or graphic details that comes with some of your careers. Most of my clients see me short term due to the effectiveness of the EMDR process, but sometimes they see so much benefit from therapy that they still come in occasionally for maintenance or if something new comes up.

  My goal is to work myself out of a job, because nothing is as rewarding as seeing my clients walk out of our last appointment feeling brand new again.
